Importing Library File on HogPC

I had an LD randomly telling me that there was no documentation on how to take a downloaded library file and put it into HogPC. I of course doubted them, but when looking it up, there doesn't appear to be any. Clearly the same process that we use on the console doesn't work on PC, just wondering why it's not documented, or where it is, if it does exist. Also not sure why exactly we have to unzip it for PC and can just lay the tar ball into the fixtures directory on the console ;-)

Importing a library personality works on all the platforms exactly the same way. You have to drop the library file into the library folder and choose this folder in your fixture schedule.

I’ve always had to unzip the folder on hogPC in order for it to show up. Just tried it now and that’s still the fact.

Thats strange... Might depend on your download.
As it shouldnt be a zip file at all.
Never had any issues wit that.

I just pulled it from the ftp. what "should" the file extension be? gz. or tar?

    hog3lib.tar.gz
    No need to uncompress those.
    Just tried it.
