Hi, I'm starting a timecode project & the audio/timecode department are going to supply timecode. I am going to be using LTC SMPTE. Would I be correct in saying I need 30 frames when using SMPTE & Hog4.
Hog can accept several different frame rates, I always prefer 30fps over 24fps, just because thats what I've used more of, and I can adjust timing without thinking. When I switch to 24fps, it throws me off.
It all depends on the timebase you are using. Their audio or also maybe a video project will aready have a timebase. So you should also use that timebase
Thanks both, TC is being supplied by the audio/FOH team who have directly created the track I have been given. I wasn't clear if the console would accept 24fps/25fps but am now.
