'winged' button in segments for 'group+next/back'

Hey there. Segments and group+next/back is a cool tool for selecting. I would like to see a 'winged' button to increase its power even more.
Example:
-fixtures 1>10; segments 2
-when pressing group+next you get 1+2, 3+4, 5+6, 7+8 and 9+10
-when activating 'winged' you will get 1+10, 2+9, 3+8, 4+7, 5+6

So you can select symmetrical pretty quick.

While waiting for it we could still use a special group.
Like in the good old HOG2 days. As all this is selection based

Can't you do this if you select the fixtures 5>1+6>10 and then use Segments?

@barnes2000 nope, that does not seem to work.

@JayJay I see your issue. With fixtures 1 thru 10, select them 5>1+6>10 and make Segments 5, not 2. Then hold Group+Next for your Wing selection. This should work as you intend.

@barnes2000 thanks for the video. Sure, if u put effort in it and think about ur way of selecting fixtures and divide the total number of selected fixtures by ur desired segments to put this number in the segments field ;-)
But wouldn't it be handy to press one button?
"wings" as selections are pretty common. At least in my world :-)

Just a little tip. You can do this a bit more easily in Plot view. It also makes counting a bit easier.
An example:
Make a 10x10 grid of 100 desk channels.
Select the left half from left to right using area selection and the right half from right to left using the area selection.
Segments 5 Buddy 10
Group + Next
I'm just wondering how this is done on other console brands?

I personally don’t use plot views that much. But i use Wings a lot. I think this button is quite easy to implement and imho a very useful thing that speeds up things.

JayJay, I'm not against Wings. I was just wondering how it works on other consoles especially with larger groups of fixtures?... it's been a while since I have used an MA. My point is also is there a way to make a better Wings button? Does Wings feature need any improvements?

MA deals with so called MAtricks which is a powerfull Selection feature that also handles PT mirroring and much more. Sure there is much more cool stuff to implement than just a ‚winged‘ button. But for me and myself that would be plenty enough so far don’t know how other consoles except MA deals with that.
