I'm trying to find some more info about the HedgeHog 4E. I suppose that it is Elations variant, but is it the same as 4N, is it upgradable? What is the differences, the 4E isn't in any comparison sheets that I've found.
The HH4E is not upgrade-able. It was originally sold as a 'Educational' version while inventories of that chassis changed from Gen 1 hardware to Gen 2 hardware. Is it the equivalent to the Gen 1 Hardware Basic Hedgehog 4.
It's not 'old stuff inside. It's actually the same MB. It allows for Art-Net output from the Fixture-net Port on the rear side of the console. It will not network with other Hogs, as there is no Hog-Net port.
I know this post is a little old, but according to www.highend.com/pub/support/controllers/documents/HedgeHog_Upgrade_FAQ.pdf , you may be able to get the console upgraded, but you would have to send it off to HES. Not sure what the pricing would be, but if you really need some of the new features, it may be worth it.
