MIDI over Ethernet

No, Hog4 cannot accept midi over ethernet. Midi over midi cable *IS* supported.

To send MIDI over ethernet I use a pair LiteLink MIDI-1001, one at each end of the core.
These convert the MIDI signal so that it will travel over a decent distance over ethernet and with low latency.
The only caveat here is that it won't send MIDI over a network and is claimed to not work with switches, but I have not tested that personally

Depending on what you're sending, can you use OSC? Depending on what the source program is, you might be able to send OSC. That would be accepted on the HogNet ethernet port.

No, Hog cannot process midi via OSC. It's OSC input paths map to hardware controls and scene/list controls

Sorry datadriver...missed the part about it being MIDI TC. I was thinking more inline of sending OSC commands to hardware controls...not the TC part.
