For the meantime as a workaround, get yourself a MIF4 from Rosendahl. Works native with HOG OS via USB, so it can be used as Midi Interface as welll for a Roadhog. And you control that via Midi-Strings comment macros

Can you trigger the built-in SMPTE by a keystroke macro, then trigger the keystroke macro from a comment macro?

To trigger it using a keystroke macro would involve screen presses, I try to avoid screen presses in case you have to change console or layout
