Fan with Repeat & buddying

Hello,
I have a matrix of 64 PAR64, 8 lines of 8. They are numbered horizontally from left to right and top to bottom.
I select 1 thru Enter.
- If I use a Buddying of 8 with a Fan Centre and the wheel Offset, I have the same result as X thru 0 Thru X, horizontal lines from center to top and bottom
- If I use a repeat of 8 with a Fan Centre and the wheel Offset, I have vertical lines from center to left and right. But If I use X 0 thru Thru X (with Reapeat of 8) I have not the same result and I havent found a way to reproduce it wit a set option. Even with a repeat of 4.
What is my mistake?

    When you use a repeat of 9 you get your expected result.
    the center value of a fanned timing seems to be not doubled when using in combination with repeat.

    Due to the repeat the fanned timing doesn´t double the "center" 0 seconds, thats why you get that result.
    When you set the repeat to 9 you get the result you want.

    It is for Offset in effect engine I want 270, 180,90,0, 0, 90, 180, 270...
    in programmer With the repeat Of 8 with Fan + Centre I have :

    That's nearly what I want
    If I use Set + 270 thru 0 Thru 270 in Offset Wheel with Repeat of 8 the Offset values are :

    With a Repeat Of 4 :

    90
    0
    90
    180
    270...
    With out Repeat the result would be
    270
    180
    90
    0
    0
    90

    270
    That is good, why this is not working with Repeat ?

    Ok, i was using timing and get the same thing...
    Without repeat the center value gets doubled, with repeat the center values does not.
    I tried with 9 and it worked for me with timing, when only using 16 fixtures... my fault.
    Seems like there is some inconsistency or bug when using repeat in combination with fanned values.
    Because when I only select 8 fixtures with a repeat of 8, the values are spread correct, but as soon as another fixture comes into the selection the "center" value will be only used once... not sure if this is correct

    I think its consistent: any time you are fanning across 8 fixtures (or any even number of fixtures or parts) you are going to have duplicate values in the center of your fan range. Any time you are fanning across 9 fixtures (or an odd number of fixtures or parts) you are going to have unique values because there actually is a center fixture.

    Yes and that what I would want, but if I'm fanning across 64 fixtures with a repeat of 4 using 270 thru 0 thru 270 I should have 270, 180, 90, 0, 0, 90, 180, 270, 270, 180, 90, 0, 0, 90, 180, 270, 270, 180, 90, 0, 0, 90, 180, 270..... (nearly the result I have using fan centre with Repeat Of 8) But I have 270, 180, 90, 0, 90, 180, 270, 270, 180, 90, 0, 90, 180, 270, 270, 180, 90, 0, 90, 180, 270...
    My second interogation is why a repeat Of 4 and not of 8 because 270, 180, 90, 0, 0, 90, 180, 270 is on 8 fixtures...
    This working with Fan Centre + Buddying or Fan Centre + repeat or {270 Thru 0 thru 270} + Set + Wheel + Buddying but not with {270 Thru 0 thru 270} + Set + Wheel + Repeat

    Chris, you are correct what you are saying, but the result the console does is different, you dont get the doubled center value!!! It does it correct when no repeat is used, but as soon as you bring repeat into the game you get the result stephan described above: No duplicated center value

    Gotcha, let me throw some repeats into the mix and re-test and see what I can get logged for this. Thanks for sticking with the discussion guys.

    Here's what I have logged:

    D-02046
    When using grouping in a fixture selection, the fanning of any value should fan within the repeat groups. This works with simple one part XX fanning.

    100% Repro:
    New Show
    Add and patch 64 desk channels
    1<64, enter
    Set group to 8 repeats
    @ 0<100<0, enter
    Open the output window and notice that the fanned values of 0<100<0 goes through fixtures 1<15 and then repeats for fixtures 16<30...etc. The fan should repeat for fixtures 1<8 then 9<16, etc.

    Regression Info:
    Occurs on Hog 3 OS v3.2.6
