Compound Fixtures and Fan

Hi,
I'm just curious has anyone else seen any odd behaviour with fan/grouping/buddying and compound fixtures?
I have a small system patched and am seeing some odd fan behaviour in the motion parts of some fixtures.
This is only happening with compound fixtures.
This is with a Hog 4 PC and WYG system but I can see the values are incorrect on the console output.
If I have a group of fixtures and try to fan them it's like the console isn't seeing certain fixtures unless I add grouping?
Adding grouping and the fixtures fan but with no grouping they won't?
Patched currently as
Robe 600 LED wash Motion M1 201
Robe 600 LED wash Cell M1 201.1
Robe 600 LED wash Cell M1 201.2
Robe 600 LED wash Cell M1 201.3
Robe 600 LED wash Beam M1 201.4

Grouping and budding is set to clear within prefs.
I may be missing something obvious here within compound fixtures.
Thank you

Remember that if you select all parts of these fixtures and try to fan then you are fanning across fixtures and within fixtures as well. So if you have all parts of all fixtures selected then you are fanning 201 from 201.1 and 201.1 from 201.2 and so forth. It's not just fanning 201 from 202. Make sense?

So in order to account for this you can set buddying to the size the fixture (in your example you have 5 fixture parts so that means buddying = 5). That should get you what you are looking for if I understand correctly.

When you only select your motion parts it works like always... so only select 201, 202 and so on
    201. in your case for just 201 or if you have 6 fixtures it will be 201 thru 206. or 201. thru 206 or 201. thru 206.

We might consider adding support for dot+fan and/or fixture+fan as a way to do smart grouping and buddying on the fly in combination with fanning.
