Yes you are correct, this is logged as defect 1581.

Essentially the goal here will be to eventually apply edits in an LTP fashion but for now we are just being overprotective of the comm objects in the show database and so one console's edits are scaring away the other console to prevent conflicts. Once again, something we can improve but might take a little while as we do a little more data structure work.
