PC console lock workaround?

I downloaded the Hog 4PC software today and I've been playing with some features, particularly the console lock feature. I know this is more of a feature for actual console users but it is potentially a security issue for PC users. I locked the console while reading the manual but did so before I'd found the default pin on the function, but the software started screwing with my pdf software I was reading the manual from so I couldn't find the default pin. So I decided to kill the whole console from task manager, the first process being one with a name starting with the word "lock". As it turns out you don't actually need a pin to unlock the PC console, because you can just kill the lock screen from task manager and you're right back in. Again, I don't know if this is a huge security issue, but I thought I'd put it out there and make it known since I didn't find anything on the subject.
