Command Keys assignment

No you're not the only one. I would also like to see an easier and faster way for it. Also a Toggle function would be great.

Command Keys are storage places that are not limited to additional playbacks of lists or scenes. You can also store Groups, Palettes, Macros. These do not have the same properties or options as lists and scenes.

Also, not every list I move to the Command Keys I want to have the same options. As long as one understands how to set individual options per cue list, and how to change the Command option, I'm not real sure how it could be any easier...

But it would be very helpful and much faster if we could record cues directly to a command key rather than just link an already recorded list to it. This would save time and reduce programing steps.

I agree this should be considered. Having to configure options in the List for Go on Flash etc makes it so powerful, as you can have so much control over what the flash ultimately does.

From an operating point of view though, I see little difference between Pressing Record + Choose and Record + Command Key and would like to see this. Both instances would be creating a List in the List directory and simultaneously creating a reference to that List.

I agree we should be able to record directly to a command key. I'd like to see an option to choose whether this records as a list or a scene.
I'd also like to be able to change the default action of the command key. I invariably change most of mine to flash, so it would be quicker for me to have that as default and change the rest to whatever.

i like the idea of have the chance to change the default action of command keys. i usually use these buttons for withe and strobe flashes. so i always have to change the action from "go" to "flash"
so changing the default would help here

I really want this to. In my opinion Syntax should be: Record List XX Command Which creates a new list and creates a reference. Same with Record Scene XX Command Record Macro XX Command etc. Enter should just be replaced with the desired command key. If key is already taken you will get the option to Insert Merge Replace bla-die-bla

Edit: Open Command would open the Options list as we know it for CueLists with a extra Tab on the Left for behaviour of the Command Key. When containing a scene it would be the same as Open Scene. After that press options and [see cuelist] Open Command when it contains a Macro would be the same as Open Macro... Well you get the idea

forgive me, but i'm new to the hedge hog 4. i have this console in my church and would like to put my frequently used cues on the command keys, ie haze machine and house lights. how do i do this?
