Not quite sure what you are looking for.
Is it patching the multiple fixture parts that you're referring to? It is a PITA, I agree, but the 26 channel mode is easy enough.
Until parent/child fixtures are introduced, I'm afraid patching the main fixture and then the individual modules as separate fixtures is what you have to do for the fully expanded mode. You can make it a bit easier on yourself by organising your fixture numbers logically.

Got it, but why can't it be a single unit ? 26 channel or 79 ? I understand patching parts but it seem a little bit
color changer / dimmer to me!

For a bit of clarification here, the reduced protocol is 28 channels, and as such you do patch these fixtures 1 to 1 when using the reduced mode.

The enhanced mode does require the multi-fixture patch. Having patched 64 SHAPESHITERS myself, I understand the potential frustration. That said, and for lack of the meta-fixture (or compound fixture), I think the best reason for the multiple patch is to offer individual module control (intensity, position, and color) as well as the flexibility to program the individual modules using the effects engine.

As Paul says, with separate fixtures you can achieve a lot more using the effects engine.
It does take a while to patch but it is worth it!
