Novaflower Issue

I've used Novaflowers a lot on all sorts of Hogs and had this issue a few times, just wondering if it's just me?

Sometimes, when I select the intensity, nothing happens until the make a colour perameter active and then I have full control of the Nova again.

If I do this it will record into the cue ok, without the colour information the light doesn't react, even in a cue.

Even when in a cuestack, without the colour information recorded into the cue the light will not respond on the intensity even when the GM is pulled down.

Is it me? Yesterday I was using software version v2.4

Hi, I don't have one to test but looking in the DMX and Output windows while looking at the fixture's DMX table I don't see anything that would be causing this. Have you used these on other consoles before and do they not act this way? It is possible there is a fixture software issue causing this as well, it sounds possible from the description. You may want to confirm with Novalight as well.

Hi Mitch,
I've got to the bottom of this one. As the colour wheel doesn't exist the light uses macros to set the CYM. Nova light in their wisdom wrote the software that sets the intensity at full when using the the colour wheel. By selecting any of the CMY wheels, takes control away from the macro and gives the user control back to the intensity.

Hi,
Do a search in the Hog 3 forum,I've asked the same questions more than once over the years.
My guess is it has something to do with tthe fixture profile versus the real world values of the fixture possibly the way the colour flags work together.
The current lib profile does not work as expected.

See my post above, it's a software issue in the light. The lib profile for the light is spot on.
