Encoder Buttons for OSC and Wings as "Dongles"

Could we get the Encoder Buttons also on OSC?!
And again:
When a Nano is connected to HOGPC could it work as "dongle" to open OSC?

    Paul, I requested the "wings as dongle" option already a long time ago.
    Nano = Faders and encoders
    Playbackwing = Faders
    Programmerwing = Encoders
    Pretty fair if you own HES hardware that you should have the same options as with a console.

    Yes, Encoder buttons would be great! I'm loving the command line and encoder labels.
    Also +1 on the "wings as dongle" concept.

    As with the "wings as dongle" concept, can a full console connected and in session (ie: hog4, rhfb4, rh4, hh4n) also act as a dongle for H4PC please?

    I like Marc's concept. I also think cmonk has got a great suggestion there too with a connected console!

    Encoder wheel button support is in the software. It's just a matter of someone updating the templates to use it.
    The address is /hog/hardware/ewheelbutton with an integer of 1-5 passed to indicate the wheel. This currently has the same restriction as other encoders, i.e. doesn't work on hog PC.

    Thanks for the info-- adding to my custom template now!

    cmonk... When you have a real console in a session you can connect to that console via OSC...

    And thanks chris for the info on the encoderbuttons!!!

    Hi MLorenz, i know you can connect to the 'real' console in session however there are scenarios where this isnt helpful. especially as you share the same command line as the 'real' console.

    Looks like the "wings as dongles" thing has been requested in many threads. As someone who does not yet own HES hardware but can program on both the MA and Hog platforms, I gotta say that this inflexibility is pushing me in the "Buy MA" direction. And I've been on Hogs since '99...

    With MA you wont have OSC also ;-) No matter what type of console you will buy ;-)

    No but you can MIDI control just about anything on that platform

    Would / COULD this "Wings As Dongles" H4 update also include users with HOG 3 Hardware (like myself :D ) ? i.e. Hog3 PC Blue Programming and Playback wings

    Thats what my request was about:

    Playbackwing will open Playback-OSC
    Programmerwing will open Programmer-OSC
    Hoglet or Nano will do both!!!

    This should have worked for midi and trackballs too...

    The upcoming 3.5 release will unlock OSC and MIDI on PC for encoders/faders if any type of H4 wing is attached. <:-P

    Thank you :)

    Does that include the old blue H3 wings?
