Strobe/Fader bug or OE?

Hi all,

I'm running a fullboar4 and I ran into an interesting problem.

I wanted to make a cue stack with different strobe looks. My plan was to make the fader a IPCB crossfader always riding at zero, use playback to filter through my looks and the bump to flash said look.

The problem:
When I hit play it puts the strobe effect at full even if the fader is at 0.

I've replicated this problem with only one playback running, checked it with all fader types and with Mac 700, Mac 301, Vl3500.

If I bring the fader up and then back to 0 it takes the strobe out and let's me bump it as needed. But this doesn't allow me to freely filter through looks.

Any ideas?

This is also discussed here on the forum under this header:
"Pressing GO with an IPCB fader - is this a big or not?"

Although, no fix is presented. Just letting you know the problem is known and out there.

Yes, this is known. I started the other thread mentioned and they have identified the problem. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

The way you are trying to use this, have a go to see if it will work changing the Go and Back keys on the master to Step Forward and Step Back instead. I have a feeling this will stop the fader position from being ignored.

Please report back if this works.
