Locking of Palettes

salvadoravilasalvadoravila Registered User
Hi,

I would like to be able to lock a palette effectively making it un-updatable until it is manually unlocked.

This could work by either going into list view on the directory and changing the lock state there or by right clicking on the palette.

Thanks,

Salvador

This is something I have previously requested. I requested write protection for all directory items including lists, scenes, palettes etc. I think this would really help on those long production periods, avoid any chance of accidentally overwriting something in the early hours with a miss-typed command line.

I'd like to see this go further. If we have multi user setups, i'd love to see locking of directory items on a per user basis.

Agreed. This would make me feel a whole lot happier allowing guest LD's onto my console in the knowledge they cannot delete or write over any part of my main show. Clearly they could add programming with new directory items, which I would if I had a higher user privilege could delete subsequently.
