Ability To Access Individual Dim Circuits When Multipatched

Could this be done by building your own fixture with multiple sub-intensities?

It's like if you have patched a bunch of lekos on one desk channel and then you want to access just one of those lekos without having to alter the patch.

I understand, but what if you had five lekos then made a 5 channel fixture with each channel being a sub intensity?
They would have to be on consecutive dimmers though.

Unfortunately in this particular case, the dimmers aren't consecutive. But your idea would work if they were consecutive. You could actually do it with a multipart fixture, but then you would have to have different size fixtures with different size dmx footprints.

I was actually thinking more along the lines of being able to access a syntax line that referred to "Dimmers" instead of user id's..

Just a thought, but not sure if the H4 system is coded to make this an easy addition.

I know, if the LD wants individual control, then in hindsight she should just adjust the fixture assignments accordingly. But I want to avoid the conversation that could occur if she said, "Well why can't you access each dimmer, I can on another desk."

Is the DMX window unsuitable for accessing individual dimmers?

Lol, it is weird. But not up to me as I did not do the light plot. I could patch the show UID to dim circuit, then combine UIDs into groups to make her "Channel" assignments.

I knew I shoulda kept my mouth shut... :P

When patching Atomic Colors the two fixture parts don't have to be consecutive.
Can we create fixtures like that in the fixture builder?

I dont understand what she wants... and I dont know if other consoles can do what you described
