My understanding is it is fully hognet capable so yes to both of the above.

You can plug it into the big systems (lots of DP's) and and yes to the super widget.

I think so also, but I would love to have the guys at high end confirm a what the plusses and minuses of the desk are

I´m not HES Stuff...
But as a HES certified trainer maybe you trust me as well...
The 4n will have the full functions for Hognet.
So if you need to run DP8K you can do this.
You can also connect a super-widget or any other USB based hardware.

Hedgehog 4n is perfect for remote-focus and server-fallback-solutions.

Minus: small screen, no motor-fader, no ext. screens, reduced buttons in the playback-section, no midi/LTC on board

Thanks. I thought so and was pretty sure myself. I am debating on this or the roadhog. I know all the plusses and minuses so I guess I just have to decide how my wallet feels.

As Marc said the HHN will have full functions of the HogNet adapter.

The HHN comes with 2 DMX universes expandable to 4 via single, super or super duper widgets.
You also get 4 universes of ArtNet directly out of the back of the desk.

The only difference between the HH and the HHN is the HogNet adapter which will allow you to connect as many external DP8K's as you would like and you can use the HHN as a tracking backup to other consoles.
