Road Hog Program Wing Monitor Dead

lightmike87lightmike87 Registered User
I've got a HogPC system with Road Hog wings. The Monitor on my program wing seems to have died. I can't get power to the monitor but the wing works fine. My superwidget is in this wing, I'm still able to run the show, and the computer still sees the monitor attached to the computer.

Any Thoughts?

Check the internal connections. Seems like the display doesnt get any power or is it switched off? Any reactions to the menu buttons on top?

I tried to open it, but didn't get very far when i had problems removing the cover. I tend to push a little too hard and break things. So I stopped and seeked advice. I will work on opening it again, maybe there were screws that I missed.

As far as I can see the wing is switched on. I don't know about another power switch for the monitor. The menu Buttons on Top do not do anything. I've tried holding them down individually, combos, etc.

    Thanks,

i know it has been a few months.

check the inverter in the monitor. I had one die on a Wholehog once.

You can tell it's the inverter by shining a very bright flashlight on the monitor. If you can barely make out the image, then the inverter died, and the back light isn't getting an power.

turns out that there is a reset button under the monitor by the power cord when you open it up. I hit the button and the screen came back instantly. still don't know what caused it, and it happened a few more times. but it's been pretty good for the last several months.
