Creating a USB boot drive on Mac OSX 10.9 (Mavericks)

Created bootable USB boot drives numerous times prior. Attempted today and it looked like it was successful, but when console was booted off drive, it got caught in a text loop

The only thing I can think is that it's related to using OsX 10.9 (Mavericks). Haven't searched yet to see if its a Terminal or Unetbootin issue.

Tried in PC with LinuxLiveUSB and worked fine.

Anybody experience this or have any ideas/ workarounds/ solutions?

Scott, I have been working on this today and I think this might indeed be related to Mac OSX Mavericks. I have been 100% successful in testing Snow Leopard and Lion today but indeed Mavericks is giving me flaky results. Hopefully I can get to the bottom of this soon.
