Hog4 Crashing in Fixture Builder

StrictlyFXStrictlyFX Registered User
I have been working a bit in the fixture builder, creating fixture profiles for a lot of our (strictly FX) custom gear. The profiles have been coming out fine but the system seems to crash about 50% of the time, either when I hope the fixture builder, or when I finalize the fixture builder by hitting "Build Fixture." When it crashes, the screen just goes black and all I can see is the mouse cursor on the screen, nothing else, and have to manual turn off the console and power back on. Anyone else having these issues?

Fixture Builder has always been a bit twitchy on the desks (hence all the warnings before you get into it).
Best bet is to have profiles built for you (but this can take some time).
Fixture Builder is a bit more stable in the PC software, so when I'm stuck having to build a profile onsite I always do it in HPC and then Merge the profile into my show.

    Hope this helps. :)

Awesome. Thank you Marty. Ya I know it's best for HE'S to build profiles, but most of ours are fairly simple 3 channel fixtures, nothing too complex. Plus there are a lot of them. Thanks again.

We have the exact same problem - brings the desk crashing down on both our 4 and full boar 4.

    Hi all,

Same here with a Roadhog IV v1.2.0 b540, trying to create LED fixture…

Most China LED Stuff is already built, but probably with another name/brand... Sometimes looking at the DMX charts in advance helps to find an already existing fixture.

Now everything said I reckon is about time for the fixture builder to work properly. It's not hog3 anymore!
