faster startup?

I heard about a rumor from a guest LD this week that a friend of a friend was able to quicken startup on a Full Boar 3 by disabling the cd rom within the bios and maybe killing the animation during the startup sequence as well. Does anyone know about this? tips or tricks?

Hey Tony,

this doesnt help much.
What really helps is turning off the DHCP on the Fixture-Link and give the Fixture-Link a fixed IP.

Hi Tony,
Before you do below make a backup of your show.
Setup-shows-backup.

Try this while your show is open.
Hold Pig + Open down and touch key number
5 on the keypad you should get an option to remove
Unused fixtures and save show as normal.
Log off as normal.
When you log in again all unused fixtures and pallettes should
Have Been removed which should really speed up your show
save/open time.
