JTE Pixiline 55 channel

Hi,
More of a fixture than console question.
I need to Patch some James Thomas 1044 fixtures in what I am told is
55 channel Mode.

So I am presume I patch
18 x 1044 MAX 1 cells per fixture which gives me 54 channels but the festival is telling me I need to also patch a single Global Master on channel DMX 55.
Is this a generic Desk channel or a fixture profile for the 1044 fixtures that gives me the global intensity on channel 55?
I can see the MAX 1 effects in the library options but this is 7 DMX channels.

Regards C

    Hey Cormac!

If the fixtures are in MAX1 mode they are 61 channels total.
54 for the cells and 7 for the "master effects".
So patch as you have with the MAX1 cells and one MAX1 effects at the end.

The fixture manual is a bit confusing, but this has worked for me in the past.

    Hope this helps. :)

    Hey Marty,
Festival is saying 55 total DMX Channels per fixture which is why i'm not clear as to which mode that actually means...
    Thanks for the reply.

    Cormac,

    55ch (18 x RGB) + MINT (master intensity) is a valid configuration of a pixelline 1044.

I would imagine you could use either 18 max1 cells or 18 generic RGB fixtures plus, as you suggest, patch a desk channel to every 55th channel to park the fixture's maximum intensity as required. The virtual dimmer in the software should take care of the actual dimming.

    Hi Rob,
yep that's what I have done
18 x Max 1 cells per Fixture + Desk channel at DMX 55

Nope show on Saturday in a large Polo Field in Palm Springs.

    Thanks for the reply.
