Roadhog4 Timecode - how to?

Now i see LTC input but it's not steady (see attached video).

Whats the matter?

The LTC Widget needs to be configured in your DP Settings.

SETUP - NETWORK - DP8000 - TIMECODE WIDGET

You are using a 25fps timecode file and your timecode is set to 30fps....

i tried all settings and all framerates.
still the same.

when switching the framerates it does not make any difference.

I ve made some more test.

What sort of delay is that? And the set frames when TC is stopped also doesn't match.
This is the same when the TC is played back out of a PC.

and by the way:
I configured the widget like i said in SETUP - NETWORK - DP8000 - TIMECODE WIDGET.
But the beacon tile does not affect anything.

Bug?

Usually when it's dropping like that, and all the other settings are correct, it means the volume isn't loud enough.
Make sure the volume is at full on the PC speaker output AND the volume on the media player.

Also try swapping cables/connectors as there may be a bad wire or connection.

You have set the console to regenerate 30 frames......

If you set this to 0 frames you wont have that "delay"

But when set to 0 frames what if i have TC Dropouts?
I understand the regenerated frames like a kind of buffer, aren't they?

what input level need to get a widget to run TC properly?

Thats always the thing about timecode....
Dropouts mean jumps.... Regenerate will help a bit... So you have to check if this should be set to 0 or 5 or 10 frames... Depending on your personal needs.
Regenerate does what it sounds like:
TC stops/drops, Console regenerates it for the set time

The best way to arrive at appropriate working level settings is usually trial-and-error. Most stuff will work well with the stripe recorded as low as 10 dB below reference level. Audio tracks with noise reduction may work better with stripes recorded as high as just 3 dB below reference level.
Louder must not be better. LTC is always a bit trail and error like said

Are there any HES info docs for TC issues? What to take care about and so on.
And when i increase/decrease the TC level going to the widget then several LEDs are flashing/illuminating. In normal use should, the "forward" LED on the widget emit steady or flash?
I guess my output levels of my hardware are not good enough to run LC properly. I will take care of that.
But when i simulate TC by the console i also have kind of drops.
The TC seems to freeze for few frames. So no steady run.
Is that normal?
