Next Options

I remember talking about this a while ago on H3 requests and Im going to ask again
It would be great to put some kind of next options
eg : if your grouping up kino flo image 80's and you want to group each tube eg tube 1 for all fixtures etc etc you could select next to work in 8's and so on
its already on other consoles and is a powerful tool to speed up the setting up process
I was sure it had been logged in H3 but I might be wrong
anyone else agree

Agreed.
Grouping and buddying should also work in fixture-selection, not just in fanning.
I did mention this already to HES-Stuff during LDI

Agree !! Grouping options should be available with highlight and not just effects engine !! It's been available for years on other desks !!!
It is less wholehog these days and more old hog !! Software progression please!!!!

after just spending a week rigging , programming and operating 400 , 8 tube fixtures my brain hurts , grouping this sort of thing is just too hard and too long winded
Seriously I dont want to have to change console for the sake of a simple Syntax
here is my idea use the existing ''and only'' command
E.G. Group 'X' / 4 would give every 4th unit of group 'X' etc surely that should be easy to sort and no need to change graphics of GUI etc
It would be a start

I agree with your "next" suggestion.

With your images80s, did it not make sense to use the image80 fixture? I just finished a job with 380 image85s and the fixture file worked swimmingly for me! (but then I wasn't running any effects across them)

I find the fixtures a pain. As a workaround increase auto groups option up to 8's and it will make those up for you. If you move them somewhere logical ie groups 1 > 8. you can use the filter you suggest: [Group 1] / [Group: ALL NORTH i80's?] gives you tube 1 of that group - should help a little? But the OS should allow you to easily do this from a soft button as it does for ODDS\EVENS.

yeah I have half daylight and half tungsten tubes , I find the fixture confusing
good call on the auto groups though I havent used it in a long time
still it should be an easy thing to doas in its in all the compeditors
