Technobeam won't douse

hey everyone,

I've got a technobeam that won't accept a lamp off command from either the fixture menu or via DMX. I do get a very brief 'blink' when I try, but it stays on. I've been having to shut it down every night from the breaker.

I've reset the unit to factory defaults, but still no go.

Any ideas?

Blink from what - the lamp, or ? ? ?

Does it also fire immediately on powerup, or does it wait for DMX? If the former, the SCRs controlling the lamp have likely failed, if the latter, then it's something else . . .

And if you kill DMX, will it shut itself down or not? They should have a data loss timeout, and go off in 5 to 10 minutes or so (I'm not sure of the time on the techno . . . )
