wishful thinking.

I wish there was a way to upgrade a hog 1000 to hog 3 OS. not practical, I suppose, because of the 2 universes, but still.....

So, while i know the ship has prolly sailed about dsesign aspects of the Hog4, could there be a flavor of current hog with more faders/buttons for easier punting with mixed mover/conventional rigs? Oh, sure there are wings, and even second consoles-- but am I the only one who finds that awkward?

    Not gonna happen, and it has nothing to do with the number of universes. The Hog2 and Hog3 families are completely different architectures and represent the result of a decade worth of technology changes in how embedded systems are developed.

    The Hog2 line was full-custom software written to the bare metal for an i960 processor.

    The Hog3 line is based on commodity operating systems with standard APIs and software frameworks like Qt. These simply won't work on the older hardware.
