DMX Widget does not shutoff after PC shutdown

I have two single universe widgets at the theatre connected to a PC that runs our HOG3PC system along with a programming and playback wing. When the PC is shutdown, the widget still stays running. I have not been able to figure out how to get the widget to shutoff except for pulling the USB connection out or unplug the DMX end. The main reason is that the aisle lights are parked and run through our Sensor rack which keeps the aisle lights on because it is still getting DMX.

Is there a better way? Breaking in several new resources at the theatre and would love to figure out a way to get the widget to shutoff without them having to remember to do something.

The widget is staying in what we call keep alive. It's a feature that allows dmx fixtures to continue receiving a 5hz signal so they don't close their shutters or go dark in the case that something bad should happens to your computer during a show. I would argue your best option is to simply disconnected the dmx line at the end of the night. Alternatively you could unpark the aisle lights and put them on an HTP scene.

A slight correction: Keepalive in all current product products is 2 Hz. If you're watching the DMX receive lights on your fixtures, it's plainly obvious when they are receiving keepalive vs. a normal DMX signal.

Only the older DP2000 used a faster 5 to 6 Hz keepalive.
