by the way do you know if the beta version 4 for the console works ok?

If memory serves (it has been quite some time since I've used H2).....the v4 BETA works OK for most things.

It was only ever considered BETA though, and thus not supposed to be "show safe".

As long as you have plenty of backups of your showfiles, and a backup desk, I'd say go ahead and play with it to see if it is stable enough for your needs. Most of the new features/enhancements ended up in Hog-3 anyway when development officially stopped on Hog-2.

Software version 4 on the Wholehog2 is *not* show safe. The only reason it's available for download it that it supports LWR talkback, and is the only way to set the DMX address on some of the architectural fixtures from the era that don't have an on-board menu interface.

Well there you have it.....that's the official answer......unofficially I remember running few shows off it "back inthe day" without any major issues. Having said that, its' up to you to protect your console and showfile if you decide to try it out.
