wait out time in HOGII

karatronkaratron Registered User
Hi
I am trying to do the following.
Pressing GO -- Cue2 must go but Cue1 must wait 5 secs to start going out (fade out)

I tried to split the delay time on cue2 Delay (0/5) but it does nothing.
Any suggestions?
On Hog III there is a term like delay out time
Thanks

One possibility is to separate what is fading in and what is fading out into two cues. Make cue 2 for what is fading in and cue 2.5 for what needs to fade out. Have a 5 second wait time on cue 2.5 for it to automatically play 5 seconds after cue 2 is played. I believe that is the way we used to do it on Hog 2, it has been quite a while since using one.

    thank you
I thought of that but I have to do this to a lot of cues in a cuelist and I hoped that there was a faster way.
What is the point of split delay times though!

Split times work as well. In the DELAY column of the cuelist window you can have 0s/5s for example and that should take care of it. The 0 is for the fixtures coming in and 5 is for the fixtures going out of the cue. I am not sure of how you are applying it etc.

    thanks again for your help
I tried to split the delay as 0/5 but for some reason it is not working.
What happens is when I press Go both cues are going (Cue1 out - Cut 2 in) at the same time. They crossfade at the given fade time 5s but the counter still counts for 5secs more without having any change in channels.
The Cuelist is in not maintain state mode
It is the first time that I program a theatre play in my HogII and I also wonder what is the best way to have for the maintain state and track forward oprions?
Anyway I did it the hard way (extra cues)
