I don't remember being able to do this on a Hog (and I've tried it within the past few months), but I've found it handy on GrandMA's and M1's.
For example: Say you're going through in highlight mode and focusing a handful of lights. Now that you're done you want to select the entire group again so they can all be at full (or whatever your highlight palette is).
On the MA/M1 you can hit Next/Back at the same time and it will re-select your group or selection you were working with.
Or maybe this could be another 'Pig +' Function? I think either would be really handy.
