Conneting to WYG

Using HogiPC (v3.2.3 (b 3367)
WYG 26 (updated)
HogConnect_3-2-3-3367
Window 7/64 Laptop

The console and laptop are connected to a switch (cat5 cable)
The laptop is set like the console:
IP: 172.3.0.1
Netmask: 255.255.0.0
Gateway: 172.31.0.1

Console: Use Default IP Settings
Enable DHCP Server
Enable Boot Server

I get a message that there is another computer with the same IP. I thought both needed to be set the same. Am I incorrect?

I did a cmd ping from the laptop and recieved 4 replies

When I open my WYG file the Wholehog DP Session reads No Server

Any idea's?

The Wyg-PC needs another IP-Adress as the console, for ex. 172.31.0.2. Which console Type did you choose in Wysiwyg?

Thanks for the response.

I am still getting the "no server" message. Out of curiousity... I am going straight from the console to the switch, then the switch to th laptop. Do I need a widget or a DP8000 connected? Its a long shot, but that is the only piece missing from my current venue setup.

You don't need a widget or DP. In the Device
Manager of Wysiwyg you have to choose a DP8000, Type "1" into the Adress-field and then it should work.

That is how it is currently set. I have unloaded and reloaded both WYG and the hog connectivity. I am a loss since I am able to ping and get replies.
I think a call to High End may be in order this morning.
