Midi over distance...

Hi all,
Does anyone have any experience controlling a Full Boar console via midi over distance? (Midi source on stage, console at FOH).
Is Cat5 cable and a 3rd party balanced midi signal booster the only way?
Can anyone recommend gear they've seen actually achieve this?
Thanks.

-midisollutions have a box that will send midi over 5wire cable over surprisingly long distances. i´ve had 200m work perfectly on several occasions.

-Othar than that box, I think your only way is through a midi over ethernet solution

    Thanks ahelgor,
Will midi over Ethernet work with the same Note On values as direct midi into Full Boar, eg: note 0 = master 1 choose, note 1 = master 1 go, note 2 = master 1 halt, note 3 = master 1 flash, and so on?
    That would be great.
