DP8000 Software tech document

Hi,
Hoping that it might be possible to add a few lines of text to this document.
Spent a while yesterday trying to update a DP8000 software with an IPC console and also a laptop.
It's helpful to know that if you power off the DP8000 and power up holding the center and left buttons on the DP8000 if forces a linux boot which can help in certain instances.
The DP8000 i was using would not upload the software from either the console or laptop prior to doing this.
Also it would be clearer if you had a section for IPC consoles also.

Thanks again C
  • Hey Cormac. Thanks for the feedback. The procedure is actually the same for iPC and Full Boar so I will be sure to add that on there. I am not sure what you are seeing when holding down the center and left buttons but the only other supported held key operation on power up is a DMX Board Firmware Reload which is done by holding down any single key as the unit is powered on. Once the process begins you will see the DP8000 Bootloader message on the display. After about one minute the firmware will be reloaded.
