Release/Go Settings

Hi Guys,

This could be an RTFM question, but here goes....

If I have 3 faders, for intensities of Moving Lights.... One is for all of them, two is for Odd and three for Even, all for the same group(s) of moving lights. Is there a way in which all of them can be 'active', so in a busking situation I could get all 3 faders on the Flash Buttons?

I've played around with various Priority settings and Persist settings, but it seems when one of those is set to go, another releases. I've always been able to do it on a Hog 2 without any issues.......just when busking a show and I have a Wing, I find it really useful to be able to push flash buttons and get stuff without having to think too far into tracking/releasing/priorities/releasing etc etc

Thanks
Neil

Maybe try a "+ Go on Flash" with a fade time of 0 secs

    Hi,
Would making your faders HTP in the options of the faders work for this show?

    Cormac nailed it.

Reset all your settings to defaults on those faders, then enable 'Use HTP'.

(You could also set the fader to be an IPCB fader if you wanted to do this with any parameters other than Intensity.)

    By the way...

IPCB fader mode is described in the manual in section 24.5.4

HTP fader mode is described in the manual in section 24.2.1

    Bonus Tip!

I use HTP faders a lot in my corporate shows and music events. House lights, stage washes, audience lights, you name it...

To speed this up, I set the defaults for my Scenes (not cue lists) to have Use HTP enabled. Once that is set I can grab a group of fixtures, bring them to a level, hit [Record] [Scene] [Choose Button] [Set] [Type a name for the fader] [Enter], and Boom I have an HTP fader for those lights that is already labeled.

    Hi,
As Phil has mentioned above a few ways to get your request.
As a general tip and this is just me i try to avoid using higher/lower priority with intensity unless you really need to,i find it complicates issues that are not complicated to begin with.

As usual (notice a pattern?) I agree with Cormac.

I would also add that most of my cuelists end up having 'Persist on Override' turned on (and in fact it is set as a default for my new cuelists).

But it is very rare for me to have lists with priority other than the default. I find that it is too much of a super-override most of the time.
