    Hey Serdar,

Try holding down all three of the front panel buttons of the DP8k while you are powering it on and then release. This should force the DP8K to take the software update from the console.

    Serdar

Did you get your DP8K updated to 3.2.0?

    Serdar,

Were you able to finally get your DP8000 to upgrade to 3.2.0 as expected?

    Hi Michael and Chris!

yes, i could upgrade dp8000, but it was hard to do. couldnt get updated from console, but from hog3pc. The bigger problem i faced was that the dp has always been restarting itself. Thats why i tried to turn back to 3.1.9, on the other hand this time show is not working. Hundreds of error messages.
when i start up the pc, that means 3.2.0 console and dp8000 3.2.0 are not working properly and constantly there are restart and network connection problems...

when i restart the table a few times, i dont get any problem for 1-2 hours, but for exp when changing the page, there is a delay of 3-5 secs. when dp8000 or hog3pc (as backup) are not connected, page boxes can immediately be chosen. whenever dp8000 and hog3 backup get connected, it gets slower...

And now, from a friend of mine I get a technical bulletin saying there was a batch of DP8000's with bad firmware. How come this was not made publically available? Why didn't I get it straight from FPS/HES/Barco?

    Marcin,

Yes it is true that we have emailed a few customers that may have received improper firmware on their DP8000. We have a simple resolution for these customers and have emailed them directly based on sales records of the possibly affected DPs. Not all users have received the notification because most are not affected.

FYI... You can read more on the links from the download pages or directly here: http://www.flyingpig.com/support/documents/DP8K_071411.pdf

    Thank you for your understanding,

    Brad,

thank you for the explanation. Blame it on the bad information flow on the customer side if you wish, but please be aware of the fact some people Mitch has on his mailing list might have moved to other consoles over the last few years and be no longer interested in reading any information concerning Wholehog control systems, not to mention sharing it.

    Marcin,
You said "please be aware of the fact some people Mitch has on his mailing list might have moved to other consoles over the last few years "

The only customers who received emails from Mitch are those that purchased a DP8000 within the date range of April thru June 2011.
