Cyber CL's not focusing correctly

Hi all:

I have 4 cyber cl's. 2 work fine, but the other 2 will not focus to a hard edge. I've used various zoom and focus settings and no luck. If I try to zoom in I start getting a black dot in the middle, like the lamp is not adjusted correctly. Adjusting the lamp didn't help either.

Check to see that there is no physical damage to any of the lenses and that they are clean.

The zoom and focus lenses move on worm drives toward the front.
Also there is a smaller, static lens, and located in between the two gobo wheels.

Hi,

There have been several sets of lenses for the original Cyberlight, and also upgrades over the years. So they might have a combination that is not meant to be in there.
Best action might be to open them up and compare, i have seen units with the focus lens mounted on the wrong side of the lens holder.

On a easy note, the glass in the front that is NOT that easy to clean can be dirty witch will steal brightness and focus.

I think I know what might be wrong, as they get older I'm have a few "static lens" fall out! the glue/silicone get old and fails over time. if you have the lens re-silicone it back in.
