I know this has been discussed before, but would this work in a H3

It is IDE, they have various sizes. Would there be any inherent problems.

Hog 3 is PATA not SATA.

They also have the IDE/PATA version. They are Mercury Legacy

They are great drives (I just put one in my new MacBook Pro) -- speed is increadible, and that series doesn't have the write issues some older generation ssd's had.

However, this topic has been discussed before and because the large number of small files, performance may actually decrease when using an SSD. Eric has expained in vivid detail in the past. Just search.

A while back (2 years perhaps) I tried a number of PATA SSDs in the HogIII console. It didn't like most of them that I tried. You won't know for sure if a given drive works until you try it.

Also, be aware that the next major software release will have a different Linux kernel. Even if your drive works with today's software, there's no guarantee it will work with the new device drivers.
