Recording IPCB Palettes Simultaneously

Would it be possible - within the proper syntax of the console - to allow for recording to numerically identical IPCB palettes simultaneously?

I will often want to record palettes for Position and Beam characteristics only. I can use Masks to record all of this information into a Position or Beam Palette (or I can do this easily from the command line), but then I have to remember to re-apply that mask when I use Update.

Looking through the manual, I can't figure out why, in the command line, I can't specify both Position and Beam before entering a destination number and recording.

Grab fixtures, adjust position and beam paramaters, then hit:

[Record] [Beam] [Position] [9][9] [Enter]

Now I know that this currently shows up as an invalid command in the command line, but I'm wondering if there's any reason this wouldn't work. If no mask adjustments were made, I would expect this to record Beam information to Beam Palette 99 and Position information to Position Palette 99.

As an extension of that, it seems like you should also be able to do this:

[Record] [Beam] [8][8] [Position] [9][9] [Enter]

(Might need a [+] inthere between the Beam and Position #s)

Any thoughts?

I'm pretty sure that if you create a position palette that also has beam values (record using P & B), then when you update that palette it will automatically update the position and the beam with out having to reselect the masks.

Good info. I'll have to check that out.

(Though I would still be interested in implementing this syntax)
