X.Spots

Does anyone have any video or pictures of the fixture in action? Can anyone provide some insight into the quality and performance of the light? Thanks in advance!
  • The X-Spot is probably the most versatile of the hard edge fixtures that I have ever owned, and the stock gobos are not bad. They have a lot going on in them, and take a reasonable amount of TLC to keep in good shape, but since they are fully modular, are pretty easy to work on. They are not the brightest fixture in their class, but do better with the 2:1 lenses than the 4:1, but lose some versatility with the 2:1. 38 channels of DMX to run it . . . . . No pic handy at the moment (on vacation) but maybe in a week or so if nobody else has chimed in. Oh, and look for the "Extreme" variant - glass reflector, and better light output . . . other than that, not too much diff between the Extreme and the original model.

  • It really is a fantastic light. As time noted, the output can go downhill fast if the fixture is dirty or lamp is old, but with a new lamp, they are amazing. We have 8 of them, and have very little issues with them (no real TLC required and mine are used almost daily) -- a little dust removal once a month and they are happy.
