sending midi strings

Is there any more information about sending midi strings using a macro?

It was somewhat confusing in the manual just said you need to send a hex string or something.

I'm looking to control a Yamaha LS-9 32 mixing console.

Does anyone have any experience sending midi from Hog?

Is there somewhere I could find a list of strings or something?

You can look on page 147 in the Hog 2 manual for a brief description of how to construct a MIDI String. It will take some knowledge in MIDI as the gear you are using and the commands it needs to see will determine the MIDI string sent. You may also look in the Yamaha manual and see what it wants to see as far as MIDI strings go.
