What IMAGE is on the console?

There was an issue with the USB-VGA drivers in 1.6.0. Roll back the image to 1.4.0 and then upgrade just Hog3PC to current.

yes that sounds exactly what the problem is. Where can i go about getting a Copy of the 1.4.0 Image??? then how do I go about rolling back the Image??

Do i just download the Zip file for 1.4.0.?? then install it at the same prompt to update software? then install the new version?

On the Flyingpig.com site, go to Roadhog XPe Image download (you'll need a serial number to get access).

Once on there, you can see an archive page for the previous versions.

so once i get the file... do i need to just install it or do a console re-install??

Once you download the zip file your can unzip the file contents to a USB flash drive that has been made "bootable" (if you don't know how to do that ask and we can help) and then press F8 or F10 during boot-up and select the USB drive at the boot prompt at which point you will then be able to do a partial restore of the desk to Road Hog XPE v1.4.0.

ok. So I have installed the 1.4.0. and then installed the new software to 3.1.7 and everything should be all good.

But the problem is still there. I looked at the components closer today. My vga to usb does say display link certified. My big issue is the USB to VGA does not have a power adapter. Does anyone think this item requires external power? Are the usb ports on the back of the Hog bus powered?

the touch screen seems to calibrate 100% and all the faders work but the screen just sits dark.

Oh, wish I would have known that. Could have saved you some trouble. The newer I/O USB to VGA boxes that have the display link certified labeled require the latest device driver from I/O which we have in the latest image but regardless of this you are going to have to enable/disable the third monitor on every Console reboot due to the way the driver from I/O gear was built. Basically their new driver from I/O gear is not ready when our application comes up and runs on the console so we have no third screen to detect and don't enable it. You should be able to get the device to output VGA to your monitor however when you enable the third monitor in the control panel.

with the wing I had 2 more questions.. for some reason it is coming up as monitor 2... how do I make it monitor 1?
also
on the main console is shows the faders on the screen .. it there a way to make the wing show that on the wing screen? I found how to get them to show up on the main console but I don't know how to move it over to the wing.

Hy guys,

I had the same problem three weeks ago on a tour.
The problem was, that the voltage at the FoH was about 200 Volts. (Europe;))
This is not really a problem for an UPS, but it seems to be a problem for the the external USB -> VGA adapter and the Road Hog+Wing plugged up to it.
I tried it without the UPS, and it worked fine.
