Hog 3 LTC Widget

I am having difficulty with my LTC widget. I can use it in hog 2 PC and have no problems at all receiving timecode. However, I cannot seem to make the device operate in Hog 3PC.

I have looked all over the flying pig support site and this forum but can't seem to find information on what to do in this situation. Does the LTC widget also have to be upgraded in order to use with hog 3 pc or does that only apply to the DMX widgets?

When I view system info I can see the timecode widget's serial number but the "view timecode" button is greyed out. Also, only the link LED illuminates on the widget when using with hog 3 PC, even with timecode running none of the other LEDs light up.

Alright, I managed to get the view timecode button active but I still cannot receive timecode in hog 3 PC. Just shows 00/00/00.00 on the input while timecode is running and still no LEDs on the widget other than the Link one.

Under Setup/Network/Settings/Timecode, have you changed the active port to LTC?

Have you also tried playing around with the volume of the timecode source?

Yes I had set the active timecode port to LTC.

I have not tried playing around with the volume but I find it odd that hog 2pc would receive timecode flawlessly and hog 3pc doesn't. Would that really make a difference?

Does it show up in Network Devices? I don't have a widget plugged in at the moment, but i beleive it should show up there as well. If it shows up, what is it's status?

the LTC widget itself does not appear in the network list. All I have is the console, server, and virtual DP8000.

If it should show up in the list, I'm not sure how to make it do so. Repeated reading of the instructions doesn't turn up anything regarding "enabling" the LTC widget in hog 3pc.

Did you ever find a fix for this I am having the same problem only I am on a hog 3 rather than on an hog PC but the LTC widget is not showing up in my network processes?

So how does one know if it is being seen by the console? All that is lit up on the back on the widget is link and it blinks? Does that seem right?

Yes, that seems right. The Link LED tells you that the widget is working and connected to the console. It blinks once about every two seconds.

The other LEDs tell you when the widget is receiving a valid audio timecode signal. The other status lights will illuminate no matter how you've configured the console and cuelists. If nothing else is on (besides Link), you need to check you audio signal.
