Running on a 32 bit computer... vista and XP..

When i plug the wiget into the computer it says the widget is not recognized and/or has malfunctioned.

Please any thoughts on how to get this to work??
Any links to the drivers so i can re-install the drivers??

I get no link light..

Drivers are included with the HOG PC software. If you install it, should be all you need.

Are you sure it is a HOG3 widget? It might be a HOG2 widget.

You've probably already done this, but make sure you have at least 1 fixture patched...

The New 3.1.8 that will be released soon will contain 64bit drivers for the USB widgets.
Until then you most probably will not.
Is all other USB devices install and work properly?

Yes all USB ports are working fine.
When I plug the widget into USB, it says unknown devixce or malfunction.
I will try it on another computer tomorrow.

I just can't ware tell 64 bit is here. Happy day.

Nope. With 3.1.7 and earlier you won't get anything on a 64-bit OS. The link light will not come on.

Ok installed hog on windows xp media center 32 bit. Same problem.
Did the registry thing and that USB driver could not be found. When I download the softwhere I can not get the driver. USB malfunction or not responding.
Updating driver says no driver found.
    Rolling back does nothing.

    Please help.

to produce a log of a failed device setup:

unplug your widget

complete the resolution steps listed at: How to enable verbose logging on a Windows XP-based computer
    • i suggest a LogLevel of 2000FFFF rather than the recommended 0000FFFF

plug in your widget

complete the Found New Hardware or Update Driver Wizard to the best of your ability

set LogLevel back to 0

find detailed information about this setup attempt at C:\Windows\setupapi.log
if you still are able to use Device Manager to even attempt to Update Driver or Roll Back Driver, capture a log. at the very least, it will point your service tech in the right direction.

i tried 5 different cables ---different computers... different installs ... different usb ports ... different shoes...different socks..... Nothing made any difference at all..

I think it is just time to let someone above me take a look at it...

-- Jon thanks for the kind help.. Luckly I am not in need of one at the moment.
But if something comes up. I might hit you up..:D
