Displaying text on a DL3?

Hi folks,

Having spent some time with Arkaos Mediamaster and Hippo, I'm just getting my head around programming with DL3s.

I'm wondering if it's possible to create text effects on a DL3 - that is, to specify pre-set strings of text, performer / promoter names, that kind of thing - and overlay them as layers over DL3 content?

In Arkaos you simply populate a list of text strings and then call each string like a media file. Haven't been able to figure it out on a DL3.

Have I overlooked something simple?

There is no text entry or character generation available in the DL system.
I asked about it years ago when DL.2 first came out.

What you can do is create text based stills and load them via CMA, then call them up as needed.

Not nearly as smooth as a character generator, but it does work.
