Technobeam Focus Problem

I have 13 TBs and several are not focusing the same when I line them up against a wall.

I have them all set to normal lens and the 2nd lens is in slot 8.

6 units are iris ready. But there is inconsistancy between these. These ones all have the same firmware.

The remaining units have different firmware (which I intend to remedy shortly).

Suggestions?

the worm gear that drives the focus is probably not set the same on all fixtures,
When the fixtures home, they travel to the rear of the fixture until they contact the end of travel on the focus screw.
However, if that motor has been replaced, they may contact the rotating gobo assembly or may just be in a slightly different place on the shaft.
I would guess that this is the issue you are seeing.
