MSC / SYSEX DEVICE

sjaumesjaume Registered User
Hi

at first, sorry for my bad english,

I've tested on my RHFB, the send end receive MSC commands. this fonction is ok
So, MSC is in fact a Sysex command, which let us send or receive GO/Halt/etc. commands.
This way is an easy mean to have "executor" buttons, instead of using the cuelist directory (Guard button)

Many midi remote controller ( pad controller), let send midi notes or programs changes........

Do you know which midi remote controller, can record or write sysex.....?

    Sebastien,

I use a simple keyboard and an Event Processor.

You program the Event Processor to replace MIDI Notes with SYSEX commands.
If 32 isn't enough then you can daisy chain them.

Version 3.1.7 of the Hog software adds support for MIDI notes. I can't give you an exact release date but 3.1.7 is already in beta, so a public release should be available soon.

Just trying to save you a few dollars. I'd hate for you to buy the converter only to find out a few weeks later you don't need it.

    That's great news Eric.

How is it setup for programming the action based on notes?
Better yet, will an updated manual come out with the release?

Documentation will be included with the 3.1.7 release notes. Not sure if the manual will be updated or not.
