Color Fade with LED

Hey all,

This is another good old case of :rtfm:, but I'm sure I'll get a great answer by the forum.

I have 30 LED fixtures lined up in a row along a wall.
The designer would like to take 6 colors and have them slowly scroll across the units one at a time.

As in let's take 5 units for example starting out all white and scrolling color from there:
- White White White White White
- Blue White White White White
- Blue Blue White White White
- Blue Blue Blue White White
- Blue Blue Blue Blue White
- Blue Blue Blue Blue Blue
- Red Blue Blue Blue Blue
- Red Red Blue Blue Blue
and so on.

I know I can do this by recording an individual cue for each step, but I'm sure there is a better way, I just can't think about it.

Thanks all:
Justin

Down and dirty...try writing 6 Q's with all LEDS the same color (Q1 all white, Q2 all blue, Q3 all red, etc), fan a delay time across all LEDS in a 6 Q's, auto-follow each Q with timing long enough for your last LED to reach it's new color, then link back to Q1.

Hope that makes sense and helps.

    Or
You can do it using the Effect Blue Fade with Group of 6 Fixtures and do FAN from Start
    Just play with Timing

Thanks for the responses. Both have been a help.
