Grouping and Buddying are found under the Fanning section of the manual and are very powerful features, as many have found.
I would like to be able to extend the usage of these features to general fixture selection.
(Stop me if this is already something you can do.)
It would be great to have a way to cycle through individual 'sets' of fixtures based on the Grouping and Buddying setting.
An example:
If buddying is set to 3, I would like to be able to use Modifier+Next to select these groups.
If I have 9 fixtures selected (1-9), I would propose that tapping Pig+Next (with buddying set to 3) would select fixtures 1-3. The next press of Pig+Next would select 4-6, and so on.
This would be especially helpful when building groups and when you want the power of buddying and grouping but with more manual control of each 'set' than fanning gives.
Thoughts? Anyone have good ways they do something like this?
