Rate wheel on Trackball ring

Hi,

Would it be possible to add "Rate wheel" for Trackball ring options, and Rate/restore options for keys around Trackball? It could be useful to be able to create some configurations for the trackball (more than 2) and to be able to call them quickly.

Currently the trackball ring function is only accessible when in Position mode. Can we also have the trackball ring function in mouse mode or another addition mode where users can disable the trackball so that it does nothing?

It would be accessible in future for other functions too like rate wheel etc??
